ROGUE STATE have a combination of chemistry, talent and a desire for excellence, their unique and distinctive guitar sounds and thought-provoking lyrics, inspire audiences wherever they play. They are a leading melodic art-rock band with an unerring sense of space, melody, beat driven prose and sonic charm.

Taking a sarcastic jab at authority and perceived reality to a sonically charged mixture of post punk, rock and metal, Rogue State takes audiences on a journey through melodic quagmires of heavy guitars and pounding tribal drums that conjure a primitive atmosphere of tribe, awareness and resistance, incorporating danceable elements with aggressive, grinding guitars, thumping drums and pumping bass.

Rogue State are an original three piece art-rock band based in Byron Bay and Brisbane .

Andy Bambach fronts Rogue State with a chorus of overdriven guitar and vocals packed with emotion in a highly charged energetic performance.

Drew Branton’s groove based bass lays out an undercurrent of energy over a pumping rhythm section.

Laurie Agar’s powerful rhythm on the skins pounds a primitive tribal beat.

Jamie Williams's guitar sound is sometimes haunting or hauntingly fast.
